James M. DeJesus, DPM, FACFAS, FACFO
Dr. James M. DeJesus is board-certified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery. He is currently the site director at Naugatuck Valley Surgical Center for the Yale Podiatric Surgical Residency program. Dr. DeJesus is a graduate of St. John’s University in New York, where he received his pharmacy degree. He is a graduate of the New York College of Podiatric Medicine in 1987. He completed his Podiatric surgical residency in 1989 in West Haven, Connecticut. Dr. DeJesus is president of the Connecticut Podiatric Medical Association and holds membership in the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and the American Society of Podiatric Surgeons. Dr. DeJesus has served as a guest lecturer at various seminars nationwide and has moderated several foot and ankle instructional cadaveric labs for podiatric and ankle surgeons, residents, and representatives of orthopedic appliance companies.
David W. Mader, DPM, FACFAS, FACFO
Dr. David Mader is board-certified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery. Dr. Mader is a graduate of Touro College in New York, where he received his degree as a Physician’s Assistant. He is a graduate of Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in 1987. He completed his Podiatric Surgical residency at Lakeview Hospital in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, in 1988. Dr. Mader is the former president of the Connecticut Podiatric Medical Association and holds membership in the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and the American Society of Podiatric Surgeons. Dr. Mader was a former board examiner for the American Board of Podiatric Surgeons.
Betty M. Carreira, DPM
Dr. Betty Carreira is board-certified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery. Dr. Carreira is a graduate of Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine in 2008. She completed her podiatric surgical residency program at Roxborough Memorial Hospital in 2009 and was the Chief Surgical Resident from 2010 to 2011. Dr. Carreira is a member of the Connecticut Podiatric Medical Association as well as the American Podiatric Medical Association. Dr. Carreira is trained in Hyperbaric Medicine and works twice a month at the Waterbury Hospital Center for Wound Healing and Hyperbaric Medicine.
Austin Davidow, DPM
Dr. Austin Davidow is a highly skilled podiatrist dedicated to providing exceptional foot and ankle care. With a solid foundation in biology from the College of William and Mary, where he also excelled as a Division 1 tennis player, Dr. Davidow brings both academic and athletic discipline to his practice. He earned his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree from the prestigious New York College of Podiatric Medicine and honed his expertise during a comprehensive residency and surgical training at St. Barnabas Hospital in the Bronx, where he also served as chief resident. During his time at St. Barnabas, Dr. Davidow gained extensive experience in trauma and diabetic wound care, further enhancing his ability to manage complex podiatric conditions. Dr. Davidow’s commitment to excellence and patient-centered care ensures that each patient receives the highest quality treatment tailored to their individual needs.
