Digital X-Ray

On-Site High-Resolution Digital X-Rays

Family FootCare PC offers on-site high-resolution digital X-rays. This allows the doctors access to your films at any of our three locations. Digital X-rays allow us to magnify the image to pick up the early signs of arthritis, infection, or a fracture.

Family Footcare Provides Digital X-Rays

Digital radiography uses special X-ray film to capture the images. The films are then run through a scanner that transfers the images onto the computer system. The advantage of digital x-ray is the reduction of over and under-exposure, the ability to apply special image processing techniques that enhance the overall display quality of the image, as well as time efficiency by bypassing costly and time-consuming chemical processing. Also, less radiation can be used to produce an image of similar contrast to conventional radiography.

Digital Radiography

Instead of X-ray film, digital radiography uses a digital image capture device. This gives advantages of immediate image preview and availability; elimination of costly film processing steps; a wider dynamic range, which makes it more forgiving for over- and under-exposure; as well as the ability to apply special image processing techniques that enhance overall display quality of the image.
