Therapeutic Diabetic Shoes & Custom Fittings

Family Footcare Participates in a Diabetic Shoe Program by OrthoFeet.

Did you know as a diabetic, your feet are at ten times greater risk for amputation? Family Footcare participates in a diabetic shoe program that Medicare subsidizes. If you have diabetes and meet the qualifications, you may be eligible for comfortable therapeutic shoes with three pair of heat-molded soft insoles every year.  OrthoFeet shoes offer a complete footwear system for both men and women. The shoes come in extra width and depth to accommodate swollen feet, hammertoes, and bunions. The shoes come with heat-molded insoles to help reduce the chances of corns, calluses, and ulcers from developing. For diabetics, comfortable, well-fitting shoes can prevent amputation. Ask your doctor at Family Footcare if you are eligible for therapeutic shoes.
